I'm still alive

The Western Lariat is no longer a gimmick, or simply a plagiarism from the great Stan Hansen. The Western Lariat will now be coming to you directly from the wild west! After far too much hassle, the Campbells have left NY State behind and now reside in beautiful Carlsbad, NM.

Let me just say, that close to 36 hours almost nonstop in a small Honda with a 50 lb dog and two small kids wasn't exactly a walk in the park for the wife and I. But, we finally made it. We got here, our stuff finally got here, and hopefully once the nightmare of unpacking ends, regular updates will commence. Upon checking the TV lineup for Sunday, hoping that I'd be able to see the Bears/Ravens game on Fox and figuring that it'd be the Texans/Browns, based on where I'm living now. It's actually the Packers/Vikings game. So, needless to say, I'll be watching CBS, because fuck the Packers!

Nine outa Ten

After I finished the NJ Dominion show, and updated my top ten list, I realized that my top ten list is 9/10 matches from this year, between ROH, EVOLVE, and New Japan, with Adam Cole (Bay Bay) vs. Michael Elgin from 2013 being the odd one out.  That tells me two things.

1. 2017 has been a great year for wrestling: That's a hard point to argue, and I've barely scratched the surface with the little bit that I've reviewed this year.

2. I need to hold off on current stuff for a bit: I've made a concentrated effort to stay current, especially with so much stuff getting praised from this year, and I'm certainly not complaining about watching so much good wrestling. But, part of having my own site is being to watch and review what I want, when I want, and I like to have a nice variety.

So, at least the next couple of updates will be shows from before 2017. If I can find the discs, the January 2014 NOAH show with the Morishima/KENTA GHC Title change will be next, I also want to review the ROH "A New Dawn" show from 2013 to continue following Cole's first ROH Title run, and or the PWG All-Star Weekend 12, with the Sabre/Strong PWG Title change.

Another hard decision

I have secured new hosting, and uploaded all my pages and files. So, now it's just waiting on them to get everything squared away with the transfer, and make sure everything still works.

In the meantime, I find myself with another question that I don't quite know:

After everything is official and the new host has things up and running. Should I leave 0Catch one last voicemail (considering they never pick up their phones, or return messages anyway) doing my best Jim Cornette impression of telling them exactly how I feel about their lack of service and assistance? And yes, if I do so, it will end with "Thank you, Fuck you, Bye!"

Decisions Decisions

I left 0catch (I assume the zero stands for how much they assist you with website issues) one last message, telling them that if the site isn't back to normal by Monday, I'm switching hosts. I hate to risk losing so many years worth of reviews, but I'll be damned if I'm going to keep sitting here, hoping that one day I'll see that it's been magically fixed.

In the meantime, I'm left with a conundrum. When reviewing the Ladder Match for the ROH Tag Team Titles at Supercard of Honor, how should I list the champions?
  1. Matt Hardy/Jeff Hardy
  2. Brother Moore/Brother Nero
  3. Broken Matt Hardy/Broken Jeff Hardy

I'm baaaack!

Welcome to my temporary review home, until my host issues on the actual Lariato get sorted out. I don't know exactly what went haywire, because nobody at 0catch can return a phone call or email. But, while my site seems to be fully intact, I've not been able to view, update, or add to my website for two months now, which feels like damn near an eternity to me. I've been keeping busy with my 411 commitment to Kayfabe Commentaries, and contributing to my friend Bob Colling's 'Wrestling Recaps' site.

If I didn't have such a huge archive, I'd just say 'to hell with it' and start over from scratch with a new host. I haven't completely ruled that out yet, but, I really don't want to wave goodbye to twelve years worth of writing. So, I'm still holding out hope that this works itself out.
