2020 Plans

I had to put the Lariato on the backburner for the last few months of 2019. Between working seven days a week, family obligations and my other hobbies like reading and cop/laywer shows, something had to go, and the website drew the short straw. I'm hoping to rebound in 2020 and be able to make the website more of a priority.

I have a few tentative plans.

- Review In Your House III, that way all my gaps are filled, and I can move forward back to the 1997 shows. I may also review Survivor Series 1995, because I've always heard great things about Diesel vs. Bret, and the Joshi match has always intrigued me.

- I'm only a few discs away from having the entire collection of footage from the Original UWF. I'm not really interested in the earliest stuff, since they were still doing regular pro-style wrestling. But I definitley want to review all of the 1985 footage I can get. They're quick to write up, and usually a lot of fun to watch and review. I'm also slowly working on my Newborn UWF collection. I'll be getting the last few shows I needed from 88, and then  I'll be starting 1989.

- I don't do many gimmicks (for lack of a better term) anymore, because I can't crank out reviews like I used to. But, I'm going to try and have March be a tournament month in honor of March Maddness. So far I have the Toryumon TV from Feb 2001 (NWA World Welterweight Title Tournament), ROH Best of American Super Juniors, and Dragon Gate TV from August 2006 (Open the Triangle Gate Tournament). I'd like to also get my hands on ROH Up For Grabs, especially remembering how the live crowd reacted to Age of the Fall winning in the end, but I'm not sure if I can snag it.

- Lastly, I don't think I'll be reviewing any more AEW anytime soon. I watch Dynamite regularly, but the picture in picture thing makes it complicated to watch and follow. I may review their PPV shows, but I'm thinking my focus will be on classic footage.
